Matt Kostiainen & Frank Currie participated in the Tour De Hills charity cycling event held on Sunday 1 March 2009 by Rotary Castle Hill.
Both men enjoyed their first event and now realise why it is “The Hills”.
About OFB Cycling
We're a group of middle aged guys (hence the moniker "old fat bastards") who ride on weekends. Our rides range in distance from 30km to over 100km, speed depends on who's the slowest, occasionally up some hills, but ALWAYS with a mid-ride coffee. No elitist attitudes, occasional good natured sprints, but mostly just a few hours of riding for the satisfacation of riding.-

What a great day for our first outing as OFB Cycling. We set off from Dural Country Club on the 35km at 9am, and our cheer squad only missed us by a matter of minutes as we flew by Mile End Road by about 9.30am. Then it was all up hill from here on. Glenhaven’s own “heartbreak hill” was the killer for many. we powered through the pain barrier to arrive safely back at Dural Country Club by 10.20am. Next year it is the 70km route!!!
