On March 6th, the 16th annual Tour de Hills cycling classic moved to a new home in Rouse Hill. Something like 750 riders set off from Rouse Hill Town Centre. Amongst the throngs were 5 ‘old fat bastards’ , muscles rippling, smiling and relaxed, tanned from months of training, resplendent in their team jerseys, confidently pedalling their trusty machines along the smooth blacktop into the rising sun past struggling riders……………………NOT!
It was a really good day though; the big crowd made for a fun ride, and going up and over Glenhaven hill twice in the 60km ride made it just challenging enough.
Frank, Steve, Ramez, Brendan and Matt finished the 60k’s without too much drama – no flats, no mechanical issues, just a good day’s ride.
